Whether classic or skating, some 160 km of trails are groomed and waiting for you. Many of the hiking trails already discovered in the summer can now be experienced on gliding skis and nature can be enjoyed in its purest form. The free ski bus to the Alpine region Karwendel brings you to the starting points of many trails.

This sport is also becoming increasingly popular with our guests as Magdalena Neuner and Martina Beck Glagow, both stars of biathlon scene, come from the upper Isar Valley.

The Werdenfelser Maschkera carry out their mischief during carnival (Fasching) and the mushers drive their dogsled teams on the trail in an international race.
