The summer in the upper Isar Valley begins on the eve of St. John's day as the mountain fire diminishes.

Then the bathing season begins in the many lakes, the bikers capture the mountain bug (Karwendel and Wetterstein are by far the best spots for mountain bikers in southern Bavaria regions) and backpacks are fastened up and down the country all heading for one of the innumerable mountain tours in the Alpine region Karwendel. Now is Wiesmahd time, at this time you can experience the spicy hay fragrance during an evening stroll. The cows, goats and horses are on summer vacation in the mountain pastures.
